The Samsung Galaxy View is an amazing tablet for watching movies or playing games it truly delivers the experience it intended to.

The Full HD 1080p 18.4″ on the Galaxy view screen looks amazing with bright colors and great blacks.

The battery life on the Samsung Galaxy View is really good you will be able to watch a few movies before you need to charge the tablet, you can except to get around 8 hours of battery this is the best battery tablet considering the size.

The galaxy view is the best tablet 2016 in my point of view because it delivers entertainment in a big sized screen without the worry to charge the tablet frequently.

Samsung galaxy view tablet also features a front facing camera which is great if you are going to be using Skype or other social media which works out great , unfortunately there is no rear camera on the 18 inch tablet but I don’t really see the need for a rear camera in my point of view.

The price is awesome too. It's a perfect size for other people to look at something with you and also for older people who can't see those little tablets.

Great Review. LOL on the Big Phone. There have been so many other write-up's from various (Android Experts… if you will) that play down the tablet. Its almost like they forget that there a productivity side that so many forget about.

For example working with Flow Charts…. Simplemind is a great multi-platform flow-chart program, and for the Android, takes full advantage of the multi-touch. This was the primary reason I got my Galaxy View. You could put together a PC style setup or shell out 3-5k for a large interactive panel, but the View really does the trick.

I get eyeballs looking like I'm strange when I set my on the tablet having coffee, then when they see what I'm doing with it, they get pretty impressed.

So its not just for movies and games folks…

The only thing I wish it would do, is allow multiple applications open at the same time, side-by-side. Maybe they'll make a firmware upgrade someday? (crossing fingers). Correction.. In reading Jim's comments below… I just found out it does have this feature… Thanks Jim!

Anyone tried upgrading the Galaxy View???
Have you tried the following: http://nougatmyandroid.com/android-nougat-7-0-update-samsung-galaxy-view/

I ask because I'm interested in the tablet but not with the current marshmallow 5.1.1. According to the link provided there is a way to update the tablet although apparently not Samsung endorsed because I asked a represantative of Samsung via chat about this and that doing so will ruin the tablets operational "firmware". And that "if" there is to be any future update that it would be readily available to download via samsung.com

I also asked the Amazon Community.
Question: Is it possible to upgrade from lollipop 5.1 to Nougat?
Answer: I haven't been able to. Unless Samsung sends the OTA update, the only method I know of is rooting the devise and side loading it yourself.
By Cardell S. Melson on August 27, 2017

In conclusion, it seems, according to the link provided there is the possibility of an upgrade but as per the Samsung representative it is not endorsed whatsoever. However, Mr. Melson, does shed light into the issue. Basically, that as long as Samsung does not officially issue an OTA update then the only way around that would be to root the devise (at your own risk.)

If anyone has any input whatever clarifying this update inquiry please let me know.

my Samsung Galaxy view is amazing I use it every day the sad part though is that it's bigger than my monitor and half the size of my TV so I wish there was an HDMI port on it since my monitor is really old and looks bad

I just watched your video and am going out to get one this week, but I do want to ask does the stand also collapse and turn into like a cover for the screen or is there a screen cover for this big guy?

I'm typing on my View now. I've had mine for over a year now and I'm still in love with it. I've used it to download listen and watch podcasts and Netflix from public wifi, live audio streaming talk shows and music. Attempted to use Google voice for phone calls but legal restrictions prevent that. Now moving into using for art work. I've used it with bt keyboards for blogging and fb/Twitter. It is my desktop replacement, TV replacement and if the phone co. would free up voice and text restrictions I'd replace my mobile phone with it. The sound is definitely loud enough, I mean it won't compete with a skill saw but is good enough to hear over road noise in a car or truck. The battery life is outstanding considering the screen size. 4 hours continuous and I've purchased a car charger for it that resembles a laptop charger. The only downside of it is due to its ginormous size, I worry it might be stolen since it can't be tucked in a pocket on my person I have to set it down to use my hands while out and about. Yes it goes just about everywhere with me. Using Totalwireless.com I get 8GB throughput for $35/mo $10 more for each 3GB I want to add. Having wifi at home I rarely use up the first 8GB mobile data. This IS my all-in-one device. The TV in my house is now just a still bigger screen for connecting my View. I don't miss the cable bill or the 15 minute string of commercials. I don't miss the dedicated space lost to a desktop computer replete with desk and file cabinet. It all gets done where I am on my View. Best tech I've ever bought.

I connected a Logitech Blue Tooth mouse to my Galaxy View.  I have the mouse  icon set to medium however it is very large. Do you know how to make it smaller or chose a different mouse icon?  Excellent video.  Thanks

Hey man, thanks for the video. I've had one of these for over a year now and it's great. Much more versatile than a laptop. At least for my purposes, watching youtube, Netflix and checking email and cameras. It really does it all. However I really hate being married to this limited charger. Have you heard of anyone making it charge from other sources? It's not a very large battery inside and could likely be rigged to charge from usb 3.0 since it needs an amp plus. Anyone have any ideas? Thank you in advance.
