Retro Tech: Game Boy

The Game Boy is the most popular handheld gaming console ever. It allowed us to take games like Tetris, Super Mario Bros. and The Legend of Zelda with us on-the-go, changing the gaming industry and our free time forever. On the 30th anniversary of its release, Marques Brownlee unboxes and explores how the Game Boy came to be, it’s impact on society, and why it’s leaving us feeling so nostalgic.

"They could have gotten better there…" i.e. covering up for being a dork and not being able to open a GameBoy case?!?! Sorry.

Then Nintendo got lazy. The games are good, not the actual product. It's so freakin' slow, the build quality is absolute garbage, and storage. Like, ffs you need to buy another SD card to even put one game in.

That's mainly why I think the switch is not worth $300. I know it's a handheld but, I never really play games outside. I already have headphones on, my eyes need to be fuckin' perfect, I can't sacrifice my eyes to look down the screen. xD

How to destroy (or break) a DMG-01 Gameboy:

-throw it against a brick wall, while on fire. and have it land on a pile of lit tnt. Then after the TNT have exploded. Dowse the GameBoy in bleach and have it dry clean in a dryer. Once dry Run it over with your car about 50 times. After that, play some good old tetris on the Gameboy.

How to destroy (or break) a smartphone:

-drop it about 6 inchs off the ground (with no case)

Great video this show how Game-Boy change the way we play. It was the start of handheld gaming. If it was not for Nintendo and there would be no innervation we would not have tech that we have now and i want to shout out to Nintendo and say thank you for everything and a shout out to marques for this video it helps other's who are not familiarize with this system and to teach them how this system revolutionize how we play.
