New Technology Lets Strangers Go Inside Homes to Deliver Amazon Packages

W3Schools

Would you trust a complete stranger to enter your home when you’re gone? Inside Edition put Amazon’s new service, the Amazon Key, to the test. Once the delivery person arrives, they scan the package, which sends a signal that unlocks the front door. Drivers are instructed to always knock several times before entering. Then the security camera begins recording.

My idea is, they have a mailbox INSIDE, so when you enter you just put the package there, and there's another door that's LOCKED, opening it with a special KEY.

Here in Wales the delivery man would never leave a package outside they would give it to your neighbour (to give to you) and leave you a note or if the neighbours won't take it they bring the package to the post office
