12.9 all day never even crossed my mind using 11in. I believe you need every inch of screen real estate. I love that it's the same size as a sheet of paper. And honestly I'd say having usb-c allows for better transfer speeds (compared to other iPads) since it now allows a usb stick to be plugged in.

Hi Ali nice video, a video suggestion for you here, as the economy will likely to get worse and as students struggling to earn any money at all what do you suggest in anyway to save up or earn small income to compensate? Or just mindset in general, genuinely curious to know your thoughts.

Why don't you just use your MacBook pro if screen real estate is a key for productivity? Or buy an MacBook Air which is cheaper than an iPad pro 12 (considering all the accessaries)?
Beside its fanciness, iPad pro is a nice extra screen for the MacBook by using its sidecar function, but if you are talking about productivity, macOS system provide a much better workflow in my opinion, anyone wondering about the something?

Great video by the way, I am a big fan of yours, and like to hear your thought about macOS and iPadOS which you prefer when it comes to productivity, cheers!

But it’s roughly £1k for the 12.9, then £120 for the pencil and then £350 for the unreleased magic cover (out in May I think). So all in £1470 😟 Honestly at that price I would buy a new mid level MacBook Air for work and the normal iPad if I felt I needed it. It’s no doubt an amazing device, but it’s an eye watering price when you add in all the kit.

I bought the 12.9 last summer and used it for the last school year. 12.9 is great for a student. I don’t know why on earth you’d want a smaller screen given that you’re probably gonna be using split screen a lot.

Ali: "If you're a student, firstly, I would say that you really don't need an iPad Pro. Just get an iPad Air, please."

Me: Well, okay then, since you asked politely.

The point with the iPad Pro 12.9 is that it is more expensive than a MacBook Air if you consider the keyboard and the pencil. Which one choose for a student ? What a dilemma

I also have both the 11 and 12.9 inch iPad Pro, 12.9 inch one was 2017 model (with Touch ID), strongly agree with you that both 11 and 12.9 can did a lot of things, but simply it’s more “interesting” when I am studying or working on 12.9 inch model. Cannot agree more with this video!!!!! It completely pointed out my thoughts.

Nice video. Do you record and edit your podcast on the iPad Pro? If so, what’s your process for that? What apps do you use and what is your process for uploading/publishing the podcast from the iPad?
