Thank You so much Rick, you've made everything so easy, I just got a new Samsung Galaxy 10.1 tab, and wasn't sure about the process, maybe now, i'll stay out of trouble. LOL thanks again, James

Anyone have an idea on how to transfer data from an S2 with a broken LCD screen? I tried to replace the screen, and could get the digitizer to "work" (IE the lights lit up when I touched the screen) but no display. I ordered a new S2 (New to me anyway) and I was wondering if I could just use USB mass storage mode to xfer to my PC and down to the new Tab.

    Ideas?

Nice, but what if your old device is a Galaxy Tab 2 that has NO SD card, and your new device is a Galaxy TAB S2 that DOES have an SD card, and you want all the old pictures, video, etc. to transfer from the old INTERNAL memory to the new SD card? How would you be sure that the transfer is using the correct storage conventions so that the app (possibly newer on the new tablet) will find the data in the new location? Do your apps that use the data on the new machine need to be set up first to use the SD card? Or do you just have to put up with an internal->internal transfer and then move the data later on the new device?
