People defending body shops milking insurance need to understand that it affects you badly. 50k for this is stupid. I bet if we saw a fully itemized list of the charges labor would end up being 50% if not more of the total cost. I have seen hourly labor costs in the 200+ dollar range before. Do you think the insurance companies are gonna eat this? Fuck no they are gonna make insurance on that particular car expensive. This is why Tesla's have one of the highest insurance costs in America. Not saying Tesla is completely abdicated, they aren't but body shop abuse affects everyone.
I have a feeling that this guy got scammed, bodywork for 2 doors and a fender would never cost 50k
